Smarter Catchment Monitoring, Cleaner waters

The IWA Supported Conference on Smarter Catchment Monitoring, Cleaner Waters. This event also supported by IWA Specialist Group on Instrumentation Control and Automation (ICA) and was implemented within the framework of the final Conference of the Horizon2020 Innovation Action project entitled Development and application of Novel, Integrated Tools for monitoring and managing Catchments, INTCATCH.

The Conference brought together researchers, engineers, water practitioners from academia, industry, water utilities, public authorities, NGOs, citizen scientists and administration to exchange know how and experiences within the concept of water monitoring and treatment. Within the Conference knowledge and expertise were disseminated on innovative water monitoring including among others technological breakthroughs, best practices, citizen science activities, industrial participation and cases.

The four-days conference on Smarter Catchment Monitoring and Cleaner Waters was filled with presentations on topics ranging from Smart Freshwater Monitoring Tools to Citizen Science in Water Management and the Use of Robotic Boats for Water Monitoring. NAIADES also attended the event and gave a presentation on Interoperability and Standardization Roadmaps.
